Who do I contact for information and forms?

Your school sport co-ordinator is your first point of contact for information and forms to attend a district and regional selection trial.​


11-12 Years

Please carefully read the below information

​South pine Sports Complex
Official meeting

​Eligibility
​Students must meet all of the following:
• be born in 2014 or 2015 in the 2026
• be selected in a district team to compete at the regional trial
​​District team nominations
​​Each of the six (6) Districts in the Region may nominate one (1) male team for these trials. Teams may include up to twenty-three (23) players who are deemed to be of an appropriate standard for this level of competition
​Trial format

​TBA.
Students who have the ability and skill to participate at this level or higher should nominate. Any student deemed unsuitable or dangerous for them to participate will be removed from the trial process.
​Trial fee

​$ 25.00 trial fee is paid via MN RSS Shop
​Absentee application for exemption
​Applications must be received prior to the commencement of the regional selection trial. Metropolitan North School Sport reserves the right to refuse any late applications.

​Queensland School Sport actively promotes the development of students as sport officials through the QRSS student officials’ program. Students involved in the pathway are managed by an appointed Student Officials Manager.

14-15 Years Boys

​District team information
​Each of the six (6) Districts in the Region may nominate one (1) male team for these trials. Teams may include up to twenty-three (23) players who are deemed to be of an appropriate standard for this level of competition.
​Eligibility

​​Students must meet all of the following:
• be born in 2011 or 2012 in the 2026
• be selected in a district team to compete at the regional trial

​Trial format

Will be advised on the day

Students who have the ability and skill to participate at this level or higher should nominate. Any student deemed unsuitable or dangerous for them to participate will be immediately removed from the trial process.
​Trial fee
​$ 25.00 trial fee is paid via MN RSS Shop​

​Mouthguards​

Revised Department of Education guidelines for contact sports specify students are required to wear a mouthguard when participating in Australian football, hockey, rugby league, rugby union, water polo and handball (European/team).

Students must wear a mouthguard when participating in rugby union. The department strongly recommends that students wear custom-fitted mouthguards.
