Who do I contact for information and forms?

Your school sport co-ordinator is your first point of contact for information and forms to attend a district and regional selection trial.

10-19 Years Boys & Girlsirls Regional Information

Please carefully read the below information

Trial date & time	Monday 1 March, 2027, from 8:00am
Trial venue	Lawnton Aquatics Centre.27 Lawnton Pocket Road, Lawnton Queensland 4501 A canteen will be open and available however it is recommended that students bring their own food and drink containers to keep up fluid levels and avoid health problems in sharing containers.
Eligibility	Students must be selected in a district team to compete at the regional selection trial. Districts nominate to regionals school sport. District team managers are responsible for their team. To be eligible to participate at this carnival, students must be 19 or under as at 31 December in the year of the state championship and must turn 13 in the years of the state championship.
Trial fee	$25.00 trial fee is paid via MN RSS Shop
Check in	Students check-in with your team managers on arrival, Parents can accompany their child to their check-in then must move to the designated spectator area.

Events Program information	Order of events All events will be swum as a timed finals. No printed programs will be available on the day Event times are approximate times only please ensure to arrive early enough to check-in While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the program, we acknowledge that some errors may have occurred. If you notice any discrepancies when reviewing the program, please contact your Team Manager in the first instance or send an enquiry via the district email address so the matter can be reviewed promptly. Please allow up to 24 hours for our Team Managers to respond, as they are volunteers and may require time to review and investigate your enquiry

School Sport Adviser	Districts are required to supply an adequate supervisor for their team, in addition to providing the allocated event officials. For further information, please refer to the Regional Handbook, which is available to SSSAs via SharePoint.
Events not conducted	400m, 800m & 1500m Freestyle, 200 Butterfly, 200m Breaststroke & 200m Backstroke, 100m Butterfly, 400m IM Applications for these events must be submitted via the district nomination process, Successful applicant will be notified after the close of the meet. Metropolitan North School Sport reserves the right to refuse any late or incomplete applications.
Multi-class information	If you want to be part of our regional swimming team for the state championship you must swim at our regional trial. There are no regional qualifying times for multi-class swimmers. Please check the draft QRSS Multi-class State Qualifying Times on our website as a guide. To be selected in our regional team, you must be registered and classified by a national disability sporting organisation, such as Sport Inclusion Australia or Swimming Australia and meet the multi-class state qualifying standard. District representatives will advise further information for carers.
Absentee application for exemption	Applications must be received prior to the commencement of the regional selection trial. All applications for consideration must be announced to all trialling athletes / players at the pre trial meeting to ensure transparency in the trial process. Successful applicants will be named at the conclusion of the trials. All applications submitted for consideration will be emailed with the outcome of their application within 48 hours of the trial concluding. To obtain this form or enquire about your application, please contact Erin Carswell Metropolitan North School Sport reserves the right to refuse any late or incomplete applications.
Wet weather	Information will be available via our Facebook site on the morning of the selection trial & to SSSA team and District Team managers

Session running times and events may proceed early, depending on withdrawals and condensing events down to fewer heats, etc. Swimmers who are late to the call room or marshalling will miss their event.
