| Students must be nominated by their school and attend a district trial selection process
Players should only nominate if attained:
(1) Tournament standard with a UTR

Eligibility
| Students must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:
• Be born in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, or 2013 for the 2026 representative year.
• Be selected in a district team to compete at the regional trial.
Please note: Selection for the regional trial is at the discretion of Met North, based on a combination of individual results, UTR rankings, and selection criteria relevant to the sport. Only students who are endorsed by their district and meet the required standards will be considered.
All successful applicants at the district level will receive an official invitation to attend the regional trial.

Trial format
| Double elimination tournament.
One set with tie-break at 6 games all (tie-break to 7 with a lead of 2)

Trial fee
| $ 25.00 trial fee is paid via MN RSS Shop
|
Absentee application for exemption
| Applications must be received prior to the commencement of the regional selection trial. Metropolitan North School Sport reserves the right to refuse any late applications.

QRSS student officials
| Queensland School Sport actively promotes the development of students as sport officials through the QRSS student officials’ program. Students involved in the pathway are managed by an appointed Student Officials Manager.
