Tennis regional selection trial and state championship information.

To view the specific details of the regional trial, select the appropriate age group/gender below. Please refer to our regional events calendar for the dates of the regional trials if trial information is unavailable.

Who do I contact for information and forms?​

Your school sport co-ordinator is your first point of contact for information and forms to attend a district and regional selection trial.

10-12 Years Boys

Please carefully read the below information

​Tuesday, 10 June 2025
8:00am

​Students check in

​Eligibility
​Students must be selected in a district team to compete at the regional selection trial.

To be eligible to participate at this carnival, students must be 12 or under as at 31 December in the year of the state championship and must turn 10 in the years of the state championship.
​Trial format
Morning session will be held as a round robin competition. The draw will be available on display at the Regional Selection Trial venue and will conclude approximately 12:30.
Top 8 Boys and Girls will be invited to proceed to  finals. Student who are unsuccessful are welcome to depart at this time. 
Team announced on completion of finals.​

Students who have the ability and skill to participate at this level or higher should nominate. Any student deemed unsuitable or dangerous for them to participate will be immediately removed from the trial process.
​​​District Nomination
​Students must be nominated by their school and attend a district trial selection process Districts can select a maximum of four(4) male & female players
​Trial fee
​$ 25.00 trial fee is paid via MN RSS Shop
​Absentee application for exemption
​Applications must be received prior to the commencement of the regional selection trial. Metropolitan North School Sport reserves the right to refuse any late applications.

Please carefully read the below information

9:00am – 3:00pm

​Shaw Park Tennis Centre

​Eligibility
Students must first be selected in a district team to qualify for the regional selection trial. Eligibility is limited to students born between 2006 and 2012 (ages 13-19 in 2025). Selection for the regional trial is at the discretion of Met North, taking into account individual results, UTR rankings, and selection requirements. Only successful district-level applicants will receive an official invitation to participate.
​T​rial format
Double elimination tournament. 
One set with tie-break at 6 games all (tie-break to 7 with a lead of 2)

Students who have the ability and skill to participate at this level or higher should nominate. Any student deemed unsuitable or dangerous for them to participate will be immediately removed from the trial process.
District Nomination
Students must be nominated by their school and attend a district trial selection process 
Players should only nominate if attained:  
(1) Tournament standard with a UTR

​$ 25.00 trial fee is paid via MN RSS Shop
​Absentee application for exemption
