Trial information

Hockey trial will go ahead 5/3/2024

Thanks to everyone while we navigate a new nomination process.

below is an update as to how the process is happening,

When students are selected by their school to attend a district trial ,parents need to complete the QR code on the nomination form by the date nomination date. Once the date has passed, approximately the next day parents will receive further information. If you don't receive this information after 3 days  after the QR code closing speak with your PE teacher at your school to resolve.

 Trial Notices and information of trial are taking longer than expected we are all working at reducing the time frame around this and we apricate your patience.

Mouth​​guards

As per risk assessment information from the Department of Education (QLD), mouthguards are compulsory for Australian football, European handball, hockey, rugby league, rugby union and water polo.​

Trial nomination process​​

Students must be nominated by their school on the appropriate nomination form before attending any District selection trial. Please check with your school/college HPE teacher and/or sports co-ordinator. Nominations outside of this process will not be accepted.

​Please note: Selection trial notices are ​sent to schools confirming trial dates, times and venues and only appear here when the trial has been confirmed. Permission to attend the trial forms are collected from your school.

A reminder to all parents:

• Students turning 12 in Year 7 will follow their high school pathway for swimming, cross country and track and field. They will not attend the North District carnivals for these sports.
• Students turning 12 in Year 7 will come back to North District trials for all team sport trials we offer.
• For further information, the first point of contact is the sports co-ordinator at your school.​

Please note: Further information is received from your school. Coaches and managers will advise further information about individual sports via their selection letter e.g. training schedules or regional program.​
