If you have any question regarding Pine Rivers District School Sports, please contact the District Sports Officer. Alternatively, all information regarding trial venues and dates are sent to each school's sports co-ordinator/HOD.

Trial information

Pine Rivers District School Sport offers students at primary, secondary,​ state and non-state schools in Pine Rivers District the opportunity to compete at district level for the opportunity to represent our district at Metropolitan North selection trials, with the possibility of selection into Metropolitan North teams competing at state events.  All initial enquiries are to be forwarded to your school's Sports Coordinator.

Age eligibility

​Participants must be a minimum age of 10 years and a maximum age of 19 
years as of 31 December in the year of competition.

Mouthguards

As per risk assessment information from the Department of Education (QLD), mouthguards are compulsory for Australian football, Hockey, Rugby League, Rugby Union and Water Polo.​

Trial nomination process​

Students must be nominated by their school on the appropriate nomination form before attending any District selection trial. Please check with your school/college HPE teacher and/or sports co-ordinator for trial packages. Packages are usually advertised 4 weeks prior to trial date.

             Nominations outside of this process will not be accepted.

Absent Competitors​

Absent Competitor applications must be sought via email from the district. Please ensure that the email outlines the sport, date and time of trial.

 Applications must be recieved back to the district prior to the event scheduled start time with all relevant supporting evidence accompanying the application.  Completion of the application does not guarantee the students selection into the PRDSS team.  ​



Student officials: Queensland School Sport (QSS) actively promotes the development of students as sport officials through the QSS student officials program. Students involved in the pathway are managed by an appointed Student Officials Manager.
